Tourism leaders, tech experts, and innovators from across Ireland gathered at the RDI Hub this week for a first-of-its-kind AI for Tourism Roundtable, exploring how artificial intelligence can help to transform the tourism sector.

The event, hosted by RDI Hub as part of its role as a national AI Centre of Excellence, featured presentations from CeADAR, Ireland’s national centre for applied AI, and leading voices in tourism innovation including Stephen O’Sullivan (I Left You a Note), Ivan Tuohy (Great Visitor Experiences), and Elaine Moyles (Fáilte Ireland).

The roundtable brought together representatives from Kerry hotels, tourism authorities, startups, and research institutions to discuss how AI can be used to personalise visitor experiences, optimise operations, and future-proof Ireland’s tourism offering.

“We’re excited to position the RDI Hub as a space where tourism meets technology,” said Megan Daly-Tyrrell, Business Development Manager at RDI Hub. “This roundtable is just the beginning—we hope to bring the tourism sector together regularly as we navigate the continuing advancements in artificial intelligence and RDI Hub are here to support organisations at every stage of their AI journey.”

The event concluded with collaborative discussions and a networking lunch, with strong interest in future sessions and partnerships emerging from attendees.
